 HKC Preparation and Beginner Basics Workshop

The HKC Preparation and Beginner Basics Workshop is designed to help you learn and understand what is needed in order to become proficienct and safe in the three cornerstone movements of kettlebell training: The Swing, the Turkish Get Up, and the Goblet Squat, as well as what is necessary pass the HKC Instructor Certification.  

HKC Instructor Certification is a rigorous skills based certification, candidates are tested not only on their ability to perform the drills to a high level of competency, but to be able to teach the drills as well.  The HKC Instructor Certification fail rate is 30% due to form deficiencies. Be prepared. Make sure that you know what you need to work on in order to pass.

Whether you are working towards your HKC certification, or want to learn the basics in depth, this is the workshop for you.

Additional HKC info:  In order to receive your certification at the HKC, you will be tested on the following three kettlebell movements: The Swing, the Turkish Get Up, and the Goblet Squat. You will also need to pass a basic strength test. The test is based on the US Marine Corps'.  The requirements are 5 pullups or chinups for men and a 15 second flexed arm hang for women.

In addition, you will be tested on your ability to teach the three kettlebell movements, and you will be observed during the day to determine your level of personal conduct, general situational awareness and safety. This workshop will address what the form criteria is for each movement, and what you will HAVE to be able to do in order to pass.   You can go here to learn more: SEATTLE HKC
